Ulriksdal Palace is open for self-guided visits during July. Visit a Royal palace set in a Royal National City Park, and combine nature with culture.

Ulriksdal Palace is located in the Royal National City Park, and can be described as a modern 17th century palace. It features mid-19th century historical-romantic interiors from the time of King Karl XV. The palace was last used by King Gustaf VI Adolf, and the 1920s Grand Living Room is one of its highlights.

Self-guided visits until 28 July

Ulriksdal Palace is open during the summer* and until 28 July you can wander around the palace on your own. There are signs describing the history of the palace's rooms, or if you prefer to have these read out loud you can download the palace app.

*Ulriksdal is open until 18 August for guided tours. From 2 to 28 July, you can also visit the palace on your own. Tickets here at the website or at the palace entrance.

Drawing area for children

'Sessan's Drawing Room' – a drawing area for children in the foyer of the palace – will be open during July.* Here, you will find an activity book about Ulriksdal that you can take home with you.

*The drawing area is open for accompanying children when visiting the palace with an admission ticket.

Boat trips to Ulriksdal

On four Saturdays in July, you can book a boat trip to Ulriksdal. Come on a guided boat trip with E/S Prins Daniel – a quiet electric boat – to Ulriksdal Palace. This includes a guided tour both on board the boat and on site. During your visit, you can explore the palace park, Sweden's oldest orangery and Ulriksdal's magnificent rooms, and you will also have a unique opportunity to see Queen Kristina's coronation carriage.*

Explore the Palace Park

Ulriksdal has a large palace park with a long history. The Royal Walks app will take you on a free guided tour of the park during a scenic walk. The app also includes a quiz for younger visitors.

The park has a visitors' centre with a café Opens in new window. and items on sale from the Royal Gift Shop. When you visit the café you get a discount on your visit to the palace, and vice versa.
