Artist Talk with Davide Rivalta
Meet Italian sculptor Davide Rivalta in a conversation about public art, accessibility, and the role of art in shared public spaces.
The evening at the Royal Palace centres on the Bologna-based sculptor’s current Stockholm exhibition, Blowing Figures into Space, as well as his earlier works.
Artist Davide Rivalta, Katarina Swanström, Head of Development at Moderna Museet, and Sara Sandström, Executive Director of PREKS (The Princess Estelle Cultural Foundation), will explore themes such as the importance of public art being physically situated at the same level as its audience, without pedestals, and the vital role institutions play in making art visible and accessible to everyone.
The conversation will be moderated by Alba Baeza, Curator at Stockholm Art.
The talk will be held in English.
