Concert pianist Ivetta Irkha comes to Gripsholm

Concert pianist Ivetta Irkha begins this summer's grand piano festival at Gripsholm Castle – a series of concerts featuring Sweden's finest pianists.

Ivetta has been an established part of the Swedish music scene for many years as one of our leading pianists. She made her debut at the age of just ten as an orchestral soloist for Haydn's Piano Concerto in D Major.

This was followed by advanced piano studies at music schools for gifted children, participation in competitions and concerts, studying for diplomas in Ukraine and at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, and participation in a number of international masterclasses. She has performed at festivals and toured as a soloist in Europe, the USA and China.

At Gripsholm Castle, she will play, together with young students from her piano class, music by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Rameau, Scarlatti, Chopin, Debussy, Revutskyj, Edward Grieg, Oksana Krut, Myroslav Skoryk, Kevin Olson and Astor Piazzolla.
