Duo Visklang reinterpret Bellman
Bellman Day on 26 July will be celebrated at Gripsholm Castle with a concert in King Gustav III's Theatre, where Duo Visklang will interpret and reinterpret Bellman's songs.
Duo Visklang pay tribute to Carl Michael Bellman, rearranging his songs in an irreverent style.
Tradition meets the present day, and Bellman has never sounded like this before. Duo Visklang bring Bellman into modern times, taking the audience on a musical journey through well-known and forgotten songs, poetry and early works by the master Bellman.
The duo have been acclaimed for their innovative arrangements of songs from the Swedish folk song tradition. They have previously been commissioned by the Bellman Society, and have performed many Bellman programmes around the country.
