The Jubilee Ticket

Take a 500-year journey through Royal history. To mark the jubilee year, a Jubilee ticket is being launched which includes visits to all the Royal sites and this year's major exhibition.

2023 is a double jubilee year. It is 500 years since Gustav Vasa was elected king by the parliamentary session – on 6 June 1523, which is also Sweden's National Day – and it is also our current King's 50th jubilee as Head of State.

The ten Royal palaces encompass five hundred years of history. The palaces have been key locations and cultural environments throughout history, and two hundred years of peace have resulted in some of Sweden's – and Europe's – best preserved interiors and collections.

Step into history

Walk in the footsteps of rulers and experience five centuries of changing styles: Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo, Gustavian, Empire and 19th century. See the locations where historic events have played out, and where history is still made.

This summer sees the launch of the Jubilee ticket, which includes entry to all twelve Royal sites – 500 years for SEK 500! The ticket will be issued in the form of a jubilee card which entitles the holder to unlimited visits during 2023.

The Jubilee ticket will go on sale in mid-June, and can be purchased here on this website and from the ticket desks of the Royal sites. When buying the ticket online, the actual card can be collected from any of the Royal sites.

The Jubilee ticket
The Jubilee ticket provides free entry throughout 2023 to twelve Royal sites (see menu Royal palaces and sites), including the 'From Vasa to Bernadotte' exhibition at the Royal Palace. You can book your Jubilee ticket online and then collect the physical card from any of our ticket desks. The ticket is personal, and you should show it at the front desk together with valid ID every time you visit. You can also buy the Jubilee ticket as a gift for someone else. Please note that the holder's personal details will need to be registered when collecting the card. The Jubilee ticket also gives a 15% discount on books at the Royal Gift Shop's physical shops.

Book your visit in advance
