Princess Eugénie's Crown

The crown was modelled on Princess Hedvig Elisabet Charlotta's crown dating from 1778. The insides of the sceptres are lined with blue satin.

Princess Eugénie was the daughter of King Oskar I and Queen Josefina. She had an extremely artistic disposition. She painted, and she wrote her own poetry and music.

Princess Eugénie is also known for her strong social commitment, and established Eugeniahemmet in Stockholm for incurably sick children.

The regalia, the baptismal font and the coronation cloak can be seen in the Treasury at the Royal Palace of Stockholm.
